The Summoning

Willow has set up a summoning ritual in the basement complete with pentagram, circle of salt, and a mysterious spell book. She follows the instructions of the book carefully, offering a personal item in the form of her ring. She hopes to summon a spirit for the first time but unaware that the shadow demon she is communing with has plans other than granting a wish. Just as Willow is feeling a strange energy, she is interrupted by her older sister Rose who turns on the lights and questions what's going on. The sister doesn't believe in any of her witchcraft and reminds her to clean up before their parents get home. She leaves Willow to continue the summoning and turns the lights out on her way back upstairs. Willow resumes the ritual and feels the energy shift in the room as she draws dark forces in towards her. The demon appears near the circle while Willow is bowing with her eyes averted. She feels his presence but is too afraid to look. The demon decides his offering and vanishes from the room. The candles go out and the room goes dark as Willow looks around, afraid.

Rose is in her bedroom looking close at her reflection in the mirror. The lights flicker and the electricity goes out. She looks around in surprise, calling out for her sister. There is no response and the lights come back on. Rose turns around to the mirror and sees the reflection of the demon appear right behind her. Before she can even gasp in surprise the demon lunges out and grabs onto her neck from behind. Rose struggles against the crushing force and tries to get away. But the demon is locked on to her throat and nothing can stop him from consuming her soul. Rose squirms and kicks, clawing at the hand around her neck. After a struggle she grows weaker and is brought down to the ground with a thud. Willow hears the thud from the basement and looks up in fear. Before she can go check on her sister the candles suddenly relight on their own, distracting her. The demon wraps both hands around Rose's throat wringing it tightly. Her eyes flutter and roll as she coughs and gags. Socked feet sliding uselessly against the hardwood ground. Her face grows red from the pressure as the demon strangles her relentlessly, feeding on her pain and fear. The struggle is prolonged as the demon slowly but surely chokes the life out of her. The attack is finalized with a vicious snap as her neck breaks and twists unnaturally to one side. The demon leans in close to inhale her final breath, one soul consumed. Rose's body lies limp on the floor neck twisted and face frozen in a death stare.

Willow walks cautiously down the hallway towards her sisters room. The door won't open as she tries it, knocking and calling out. Finally she manages to push it open and is met with a horrifying sight -- her sister propped up against the wall with her neck lolled to one side and her face frozen in a death stare. Willow screams in terror and backs away from the room, unknowingly bumping right into the demon who has appeared behind her. She turns to see the blank face and realizes what she has accidentally summoned. Willow flees down the hall and rushes back to her ritual to try and undo what has happened, but it is too late. As she flips through the pages in her spell book the demon appears behind Willow with a hand on her shoulder, forcing her to rise. She fearfully obeys, tearing up and sniveling in terror. Willow is shocked when the demon forces her to turn around and see that is has possessed the body of her sister Rose, pale and bruised with the life drained out of her. Before she has time to process what is happening, Rose forces her hand around the throat of her sister and squeezes tight. The power of the demon crushes Willows neck and ruthlessly chokes her as the attacker's appearance switches between the demon and Rose. Willow can do little to resist as she is throttled by the dark force. Her face flush red as her eyes bulge and roll. She is forced to her knees before being lifted back up. The demon showcases his strength through Rose by hoisting Willow up by her neck and throat lifting her from the ground. Her feet kick the air uselessly as the demon holds her aloft by the neck and squeezes tight. Willow grows weaker as the strangling continues, her arms falling haphazardly at her side as she twitches in the attackers grip. Demon Rose has a sick grin on her face as she destroys her sister. Willow's eyes roll and she goes weak, nearly out of it. But the demon likes to continue to feed on her agony so he drops her to the floor.

Willow lands on the floor out of breath and lays there a few moments. Gasping in air as she slowly regains consciousness while the demon slowly re approaches. Willows starts to feebly crawl away but she doesn't make it far. The demon grabs her by the hair and yanks hard, then snatches up the spell book and smacks her across the face with it. Willow fall back with a cry as she is overwhelmed with pain. The demon takes this time to finish her off, the form of Rose wrapping both hands around Willows neck and crushing her windpipe. Willow continues to fight as best she can, her eyes wide and bulging with panic. Her stocking feet slipping against the floor unable to get a grip. Willows eyes roll back and her tongue sticks out as she fight desperately to stay alive. But when the demon decides to take a soul there is little that can be done to stop it. Willow's life slowly drains from her as she is choked to death, finally her soul leaving the body as the demon keeps both hands gripped tight on her neck. The demon claims his next soul and leaves the victims body there as he finally lets go of her neck. Willows face remains frozen in a horrified death stare. The lights flicker as the demon vanishes to another realm satisfied with his prizes. The girls dead bodies are laid out sprawled next to the pentagram for their parents to find when they return home.
